Project Brief
Located in the heart of Expo City Dubai, the mosque is a peaceful and welcoming space for worshippers to perform their prayers. Designed with a blend of traditional Islamic architecture and modern simplicity, the mosque features open spaces that create a calm and spiritual atmosphere for daily prayers.
Design Intent
The lighting design highlights the monumental architecture with vertical uplights that accentuate façade projections and softly illuminate the domes as focal points. Pathways and landscaped zones are guided by warm bollard lights, while taller poles provide functional illumination for parking and circulation. Subtle tree uplights extend the architectural glow into the landscape, creating a cohesive visual identity. Overall, the scheme balances hierarchy, safety, and aesthetics—offering a dignified yet inviting night-time presence.
